We are two best friends who are doing a deep dive into a book series, one book at a time.

Hannah and Laura are covering the second half of The Trespasser by Tana French. They have complicated thoughts about the way that this book ends and whether or not the ending was too obvious. They also chat about a great book of essays, a movie that Hannah used to love as a kid, and Laura's love for Bluey.

We are delighted to be setting sail with "salty scoundrels," because in today's episode they are discussing The Curse of Dragon Tail Island by Jonathan Nevair!! They dig into the book's world building, some of their favorite moments, and their appreciation for well-written characters. They also chat about revisiting anime and a videogame that is hitting just right.

We finally made it to Dresden Files books! Or did we? In Hair of the Dog, we discuss Fool Moon, how this episode is too horny, and the fact that this does not hold up to Jim Butcher's worldbuilding. Will this TV series make us appreciate his books more?!?!
